Polish Day-Old Chicks

IMPORTANT ORDERING INFORMATION:

Our day-old chicks hatch fresh each week and ship out on Tuesdays via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx. We only ship chicks March through September to ensure safe, chick-friendly temperatures during transit.

There is a 3-chick minimum per order to help keep them warm and comfortable while traveling.

Before placing your order, be sure to check our Breed Availability Calendar to see upcoming hatch dates and availability for each breed.

We guarantee that your chicks will be carefully packed and shipped healthy, but we cannot guarantee their condition upon arrival due to factors beyond our control — such as postal handling, carrier delays, or unexpected weather.

Any losses must be reported on the day your package arrives so we can assist you promptly.

Day-Old Chick Livability Policy (48 Hours)

Because we work with live day-old chicks and place the health of our flock above all else, we’re unable to accept returns for any reason. That said, we want every customer to feel supported and confident in their order—so we’ve created the following policies to help.

48-Hour Livability Guarantee

We carefully prepare every chick to arrive healthy, alert, and thriving. If you experience a loss or receive an injured chick within the first 48 hours—and appropriate care has been provided—we will issue a refund or arrange a replacement when eligible. Photos may be requested to help verify the situation.

Orders of 25 chicks or more may include a few extra birds at no cost. These bonus chicks are added as a courtesy to help offset any early loss.

Replacement Order Guidelines

• Replacement shipments are available only when more than half of the chicks from your original order are lost.
  Losses below this amount qualify for a refund only.

• Replacement shipments must meet our farm’s minimum order requirements for safe live-chick shipping.

• Replacement requests must be submitted immediately after the 48-hour reporting window closes.

• Chicks purchased from our in-store bins are also covered for 48 hours after pickup.

Please report any losses using our loss-reporting form as soon as the 48 hours have ended. Refunds or credits will never exceed the original purchase total.

If losses occur on a replacement shipment, we will issue a refund for the affected chicks rather than sending another reshipment, as the well-being of live animals must come first.

We are unable to cover losses that occur in uncontrolled environments, such as placing chicks under a broody hen.

We do everything possible to ensure your chicks arrive healthy, alert, and thriving.
If you experience a loss or receive an injured chick within the first 48 hours—and proper care has been provided—we will issue a refund or, when appropriate, arrange a replacement. Photos may be requested to help verify the issue.

• Replacement shipments are available only if more than half of the chicks in the original order are lost.
  Losses below this threshold qualify for a refund only.

• All replacement shipments must meet our farm’s minimum order requirements for safe live-chick shipping.

• Replacement requests must be submitted promptly at the end of the 48-hour reporting window.

• Chicks purchased from our retail bins are covered under the same 48-hour policy.

Please submit losses using our loss-reporting form as soon as the 48 hours have ended.
Refunds or credits will never exceed the original purchase price.

If losses occur on a replacement order, we will issue a refund only rather than sending another shipment—because the safety and well-being of live animals always come first.

We cannot cover losses that occur in uncontrolled environments, such as placing chicks under a broody hen.

📦 Pickup Requirements

Day-old chick orders must be picked up from the Post Office immediately once they arrive.

• Any order not picked up within 8 hours forfeits coverage under this policy.

• The Post Office may rehome chicks left overnight due to their perishable nature.

• In such cases, no refund or replacement can be offered.

• We cannot cover losses caused by incorrect contact information provided at checkout (name, address, phone, or email).

🐣 Day-Old Chick Product Quality Policy

We take great care to ensure each chick leaving our farm is:

• Healthy

• Vigorous

• Well-started

• Bred to our quality standards

Every chick is inspected before shipping or pickup to confirm overall condition, breed accuracy, and vitality.

Because these are live animals, natural variation is normal. Differences in:

• Size

• Feather development

• Coloring

are not considered defects.

Chicks are sold as the breed or variety listed, but we cannot guarantee show-quality traits.

Any concerns regarding the accuracy or quality of your chicks must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your order. After this window, we consider the order accepted and cannot make adjustments.

💉 Marek’s Vaccination (Optional Add-On)

We offer Marek’s vaccination as an optional service for standard and bantam chicks.

• Marek’s disease is easily spread, and vaccination helps birds build resistance.

• The vaccine does not prevent infection, but it significantly reduces the likelihood of symptoms developing.

• There is no cure for Marek’s disease.

We cannot be held responsible for losses or damages caused by Marek’s disease, even if chicks were vaccinated.

If you request Marek’s vaccination and you also receive bonus chicks or promotional birds, those extras will be vaccinated as well.

Polish Chickens – Quick Facts
